Here is an article of the Toronto Star called TheStar.com - Joining the `jet' set. It's about a beach that is located right behind the runway of airport in St. Maarten where people enjoy watching taking a 747 taking off while being blown away by its turbo engines. We spent one week at the resort that is being mentioned in the article and we can confirm that this really happens and that's really entertaining. In fact we would warn each other when a big plane was getting ready for the take-off so we would not miss seeing the people being pushed towards\into the ocean.
