When a guy proposes to a girl, there is strong build up to the moment. Thinking about the ring, thinking about the way you want to do and than hoping that everything works out the way you hope. And once it took place you think you deserve a break from the 'wedding thing'. Not so for the girl as I am starting to learn. Where the proposal represents a water stop on the road to marriage, it a starting line complete with a starter's gun for the receiver of the ring. And off they go. Within a few days we had the first wedding magazines at home, the first draft of the invitation lists had been completed and the first venues were contacted for information. Today Catherine wanted to see some of those venues. So we did a drive-by and at least one venue didn't made the cut (I am sure my parents are sad about this news).
