I knew that the Braeken family name was not a very common one and I had the impression that there were more Braekens in Belgium than in Netherlands. Now I have found 2 web sites that confirmed this. familienaam.nl and familienaam.be are two web sites that used the telephone books of 1993 show where in both countries you can which family. The above picture I got when I searched for Braeken on both sites. A bigger version of the picture above can be found here. There are some Braekens, other than me of course, in Canada. There is even another Braeken in Ontario according to canada411.com but how many there really are is unknown to me but I am sure that it can't be a lot.
