This weekend you can find us at the Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre. Really, it wasn't a voluntary choice.
"Engaged Encounter: It is a weekend away with other engaged couples designed to give each couple planning marriage the opportunity to dialogue honestly and intensively about their prospective lives together. They have ample times alone as a couple, to assess their strengths, weaknesses, desires, ambitions and goals. They are encouraged to review their attitudes about money, sex, children and family; and their roles in the Church and society."
I am so not into this, but it's something you have to do to get married in a catholic church here (my parents in the Netherlands NEVER had to do this and that was 30 years ago!!!!) and that's important to Catherine so I guess she owes me big time!
